Quincy White Wine 75cl
Our Curators Choice of White is this delicious Quincy.
Domaine de Chevilly Quincy is a cracking white is from the area south east of Tours and south west of Menetou-Salon has aromas of citrus, pepper and floral notes, the palate is fresh, fruity with hints of mineral and balanced acidity. Perfect alternative to Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, it's the kind of wine you want to drink on a hot day with equally crisp food (fresh tomato salads, goat's cheese, a bowl of rocket leaves dressed in punchy green olive oil, cold prawns dipped in aioli, chicken breast seared over coals and drizzled with tarragon mayonnaise…).
But don't take our word for it, check out what wine expert Helen McGinn @knackerdmother says.... "A bit like Sancerre but usually a lot cheaper. It's made with the same grape (Sauvignon Blanc) in a nearby region in the Loire Valley... If you are not normally a fan of Sauvignon but like Chardonnay, I think you'll love this."
