Prepared for us by the fabulous team at ChalkStream® this Beetroot Gravadlax is an eye-catching twist on a traditional gravadlax.
Fillets are cured in a marinade of salt, sugar and dill with the addition of beetroot to give it a wonderful deep purple colour that makes a truly stand out starter.
ChalkStream® trout are reared on small, selected farms fed by the gin clear waters of the River Test and the River Itchen, two of Hampshire's world famous chalk streams. Using only gravity, chalk stream water flows from these rivers through the farms at nearly one and a half tonnes per second.
Swimming in this fast-flowing water produces trout that are athletic and lean with a delicious clean taste. These are the perfect conditions for producing the finest English trout.
ChalkStream® trout are produced to the highest welfare standards set by the
RSPCA and GLOBAL G.A.P, a worldwide standard for good aquaculture practices.

Our trout is rich in heart-healthy Omega 3 oils. Oily fish like trout contains Vitamin D which helps support a strong immune system.

Storage
STORAGE: Keep refrigerated at 0°C to +5°C and use within 3 days of opening or until the use by date, whichever is sooner.
Can be frozen for 6 months. Defrost in fridge and consume within 24 hours.
WARNING: Every care has been taken to remove bones, some small bones may remain.
