The Athelhampton - Charcuterie and Red Wine Hamper
A classic, luxurious gift or treat, our curators have paired a selection of fabulous artisan charcuterie from beautiful Dorset and a delicious 2018 Bordeaux Supérieur from Chateau Pierrail with Gordal olives and an artisan sourdough to create something which is almost too good to share!
- Wild Venison Chorizo made in the heart of Dorset using sweet, smoked paprika. This British chorizo is perfect for snacking or enjoying as part of a charcuterie sharing board or antipasti selection
Pink Peppercorn & Purbeck Cider Salami made from free range pork cider from the Isle of Purbeck. The aromatic pink peppercorns make this delicious and unique salami. The Great Taste Award judges commented that this is “A delicate and subtle salami, beautifully tender with a clean tear. Terrific floral aromas of the pink peppercorns”
Dorset Bresola made from Grass fed British beef, cured in a delicate blend of herbs and washed in red wine before being air dried for a minimum of 3 months for depth of flavour. The perfect addition to a charcuterie board or serve with rocket and parmesan shavings for a simple starter or light lunch. When awarding 2 Stars at the Great Taste Awards, the judges commented on its “Calm, full, complex aroma which draws you in and makes you want to taste it and the lovely tear to the slice and a texture in the mouth that is firm enough but melts. Gentle tang with warmth and light smokiness, which is mellow and fills the mouth in a creamy way”

- Artisan loaf from our local West Country baker, this loaf has a depth of flavour that perfectly carries the richness of the charcuterie and wine.
